Grading and site preparation
Grading is where most concrete problems start or get prevented. We cut and fill to the plan, compact in lifts, and set the slope so water runs away from the house instead of under the slab. For driveways and pads we place and compact the base so the concrete on top has something solid to sit on.
Rough grading for new pads and ADUs, finish grading for yards and side yards, and drainage swales where the lot needs them. Dirt hauled off or brought in as the plan requires.

Do you compact the base before concrete?
Every time. Base compaction is the difference between a slab that lasts and one that cracks in a year.
Can you fix drainage that runs toward my house?
Yes. We regrade the area so water moves away from the foundation, and add a swale or drain where the lot needs it.
Do you handle the dirt?
Yes. Extra soil is hauled off, and fill is brought in when the pad needs to come up.
Is grading included when you pour a driveway?
Base preparation is always part of our concrete price. Larger cut-and-fill work is priced as its own line so you can see it.
Are you licensed and insured?
