A driveway that lasts is not about the concrete alone. It is the base underneath it, the thickness, the reinforcement, and where the control joints go. We do that part right, because it is what decides whether it looks the same in five years or is already cracked.
We pour broom finish, smooth finish, stamped patterns and integral color, and we match new work to what is already there when we are only replacing a section. One licensed crew forms it, preps it, pours it and finishes it, and cleans up before we leave.
What is included
- Driveways and approaches poured over a compacted base, at the right thickness, with control joints where they belong
- Patios and backyard slabs, broom, smooth or stamped, sloped to drain away from the house
- Walkways, side yards and steps that meet code, with turf or rock borders if you want them
- Slabs for sheds, garages and equipment

Questions we get asked
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Four inches over a properly compacted base handles cars and light trucks. If you park an RV, a dually or a work trailer on it, we go to five or six inches and add reinforcement.
How long before I can drive on new concrete?
Walk on it after about 24 hours, drive a car on it after seven days, and park anything heavy after 28 days.
Can it be too hot or too cold to pour?
Yes. Above about 85°F concrete sets too fast, and below 40°F it cures too slowly. We adjust the mix, the pour time and the curing to the weather.
Do you tear out the old driveway?
Yes. Break-out, haul-off and disposal are part of the job, and the price we give you includes it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. AMZ Concrete Inc. is a licensed C-8 concrete contractor, CSLB #1127615, bonded and carrying workers’ compensation on every job. Look us up on the state’s website any time. We would rather you check.
